currency markets are open 24 hours a day, 5 1 / 2 days a week. It provides excellent opportunities for all around the world to trade the markets. There is only so much flexibility in trading times that everyone can find time in the store.
but open trading hours may also present some problems that others have no trading market. One problem is determining the best and most profitable time for you to trade. So let's look at the trading sessions and see what works best for you.
European Session - 02:00 ET until 10:00 ET
the meeting was a very active time for the markets. Currency prices move very little during that time - especially if the news comes out. You'll usually find a range of 50 or more pips on EUR / USD and GBP / USD. If you want fast moving action, the European session is for you.
U.S. Session - 7:00 ET at 17:00 ET
U.S. trading hours are also very active. Again, you will find an excellent, wide range of moves that can provide a surprising amount of money.
Oh and one more thing. Have you noticed how the European and U.S. sessions overlap for a few hours? It was the most active time of day to trade.
Asian Session - 17:00 ET until 02:00 ET
Asian session is usually a slower time in the store. Sometimes you get a good move, but it will not happen every time. Does that mean you can not make Asian trading session? Absolutely not! Some people have gotten so good shrink relatively safe pips from the market to cram quite a lot of money on some trades and make a killing!
